On December 29, Dragons Holding Company held a New Year media briefing in Riyadh, officially announcing a comprehensive upgrade of Dragon World Saudi Arabia ("Dragon World"). Mr. Osama, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Dragons Holding Company, together with Chief Operating Officer Mr. Ding Bingyan, stated that Dragon World will transform into a platform for China–Saudi industrial cooperation, injecting new momentum into Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification.

The media briefing attracted extensive attention from major Saudi outlets. To date, more than 30 Saudi media organizations have conducted in-depth interviews and coverage focusing on Dragon World's latest developments, prospects for China–Saudi economic and trade cooperation, its upgrade initiatives, its role as a two-way bridge between China and Saudi Arabia, and its future development plans.

From Commodity Trading to Industrial Cooperation
“Saudi Vision 2030 is guiding the Kingdom toward a more diversified future,” said Mr. Osama. “Dragon World must evolve in step with Saudi Arabia’s development.”
Mr. Ding Bingyan highlighted the changing market demand: “Saudi Arabia no longer only needs products—it also needs projects, factories, technologies, and capital. Our role is to build a bridge that helps Chinese enterprises truly establish themselves in Saudi Arabia and achieve win-win cooperation with local partners.”
Mr. Osama noted that the transition from Dragon Mart Dubai to Dragon World Saudi Arabia represents not merely a geographical expansion, but a strategic leap aligned with Saudi Arabia’s development trajectory.

This transformation of Dragon World is reflected in three key shifts: from traditional trade to comprehensive industrial cooperation; from product circulation to full industrial chain output; and from one-way supply to two-way China–Saudi collaboration.
“Bilateral trade between China and Saudi Arabia exceeded USD 100 billion last year, and Dragon World is becoming an important platform connecting the two countries,” Mr. Osama said.
Upgrades Across Four Key Areas
Mr. Ding Bingyan explained that Dragon World pushing its comprehensive upgrade across four dimensions: merchant structure, product structure, service system, and cooperation models.
In terms of merchant structure, Dragon World is aligning closely with Saudi Arabia’s industrial development needs and continuously introducing leading enterprises across various sectors. These include Shanxi Construction Investment Group, ranked 13th globally among construction contractors by revenue; Shanghai Shifeng, one of China’s largest hardware and building materials trading enterprises; and Xiamen Zhonggou New Materials, a listed company in China’s building materials sector. Today, the industrial ecosystem behind Dragon World encompasses nearly 20,000 enterprises and over one million products.

Regarding product structure, while strengthening its traditional categories such as electronics, textiles and apparel, and consumer goods, Dragon World is placing greater emphasis on high-end, specialized product categories that better support Saudi Arabia’s industrial upgrading. Over the past three months alone, more than 350 high-quality enterprises have signed agreements, covering key sectors including hardware and building materials, oilfield equipment, electromechanical equipment, automotive parts, new energy, and new materials.
Series of Business Events Planned for 2026
From the end of this month through early January next year, Dragon World will host a series of events, including a New Year media briefing, China Culture Week, an automobile exhibition, and a China–Saudi industrial exchange forum.
Looking ahead to 2026, Dragon World plans to organize one professional themed exhibition or trade fair each quarter, one industrial exchange forum every month, and at least two new product launch events monthly. In an interview, Mr. Wang Chuanhong, Chief Management Officer of Dragon World, stated: “Through sustained commercial and business activities, we aim to make Dragon World a continuously active hub for China–Saudi industrial exchange.”

Creating More Jobs for Saudi Arabia
“We have full confidence in Saudi Arabia’s long-term development,” Mr. Osama said. Over the past year, Dragon World has already created a significant number of local jobs.
In the coming years, with new projects opening in Dammam, Jeddah, and other cities, Dragon World’s annual trade volume in Saudi Arabia is expected to reach several billion—and potentially tens of billions—of US dollars. As the number of resident enterprises continues to grow substantially, Dragon World will create even more employment opportunities for the local market.
“We sincerely invite all sectors of Saudi society to join us in building this platform and creating a bright future for China–Saudi cooperation together,” Mr. Osama concluded.
