On 19 February 2023, the Promotion Roadshow of Dragon World Saudi Arabia, jointly hosted by CHINAMEX and Dubai promotion agencies, was held at the Jiangnan Spring Hotel in Dubai. Representatives from CHINAMEX, Dubai industry associations, Cititrans International Logistics (“Citirans”), promotion agencies and over 100 merchants from Dragon Mart Dubai attended. This event is of great significance for the Saudi project.
At the roadshow, Patrick Zheng, the General Manager of CHINAMEX Bahrain Management Company and the Director of Dragon World Saudi Arabia, brought people back to the development history of the Saudi market recalling that CHINAMEX studied the Saudi market as early as 2010. CHINAMEX had realized the timing is not right according to its research findings in 2017 and waited until 2022 to implement the project when CHINAMEX found a golden opportunity and an appropriate business model for Chinese enterprises to enter the market. After hearing the story, participating entrepreneurs became more confident in CHINAMEX and more determined to follow CHINAMEX to go global. Then Patrick introduced the detailed the planning and future development prospects of the Saudi project as well as the various services provided by CHINAMEX. He clarified that the leasing team will follow 'first come, first served' principle and answered in detail the merchants' queries about operating costs, staff management, and other relevant issues.
Hu Anling, the Regional Manager of Citirans in Saudi Arabia, also gave a detailed introduction of the current logistics situation in Saudi Arabia. He explained issues with respect to logistics channels, cost and time which were mostly of concern by the merchants and promised to provide merchants with the best-quality and affordable services.
The unique business model and broad market prospect of Dragon World Saudi Arabia sparked a passionate discussion among participants at the venue. The success of the roadshow also marked the opening of a whole new chapter for Chinese goods entering into the Saudi market.
